In Year 10, you’ll be starting your GCSE courses, and may be thinking about what you want to do in the future. Meanwhile, you may find you’re having to deal with problems with your parents and more serious personal relationships. This section gives you information and advice about the various relationships and issues that may be affecting you.

Teenagers often have problems with their parents or carers. A lot of the time it’s because you’re trying to be more independent, and they’re trying to get you to do what they think is best.

Once you start to have periods, your ovaries are producing eggs, which can be fertilised by sperm if you have sex. One of the risks of having sex is that you might get pregnant

During your teens, your sexual feelings are still developing, and they may change over time. Sometimes you might feel confused or worried about who you are sexually.

If you’ve decided to go ahead with a pregnancy and have a baby, you’ll need plenty of help
