Free Time

As you come up to exams, it’s important to make sure you have some time to relax too. By making the most of your free time, you can come back to your work refreshed and raring to go. It’s healthy to have interests outside of school that can help you relax.

This part of the Connexions website has some suggestions about things you can do during your free time. They’ll look good on your CV too, showing you’re an active and interesting person.

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, develop new skills and have some fun. There’s so much to choose from, and you can give as much or as little of your time as you want.

From football to tennis, from running to rowing, there are lots of sports you can take up to keep fit.

Playing in a band can teach you lots of new skills like teamwork, negotiation, creativity and co-operation.

It’s important to respect other people’s values, cultures and traditions. By respecting the differences between all of us, you’ll gain respect in turn.

If you’d like to do something you’re interested in, or you’d like to gain some useful experience, there are lots of organisations out there you can join.
