Post 16 education can be full of pressures – you may be worrying whether you’ve made the right choices, about exams, or your how results will affect your future. Meanwhile, you may find your parents pushing you one way and personal relationships pushing you another. If you’re in a relationship and having sex, one of the risks is that you might get pregnant. Using contraceptives properly helps to prevent this happening, but no contraceptive is 100% reliable.

As you get older, you may feel your parents or carers are still trying to change you, rather than letting you be yourself - or maybe they’re trying to push you towards a career you don’t want.

You may feel you have more difficult relationship issues and worries to deal with if you’re in care, especially as you get older.

During your teens, your sexual feelings are still developing, and they may change over time. Sometimes you might feel confused or worried about who you are sexually.

If you’ve decided to go ahead with a pregnancy and have a baby, you’ll need plenty of help. Although it’s rewarding being a parent, it can be also be very exhausting.
