Life shouldn’t all be about work. That’s why making the most of your free time is important. Take time out from study and schoolwork to do things you enjoy, or to try something different.

Whether you’re looking for a way to relax, to meet new people, learn new things or help in the local community, there’s lots to choose from. This section of the site gives you some ideas. And remember, some of the things you do will also look good on your CV!

Doing sport doesn’t just keep you fit, it also helps you make new friends. And by giving your brain a break, you’ll come at your schoolwork more refreshed.

If you’d like to learn new skills, take part in some really rewarding activities and also do something that’s really good for your CV, you might want to consider joining a Cadet force.

If you’re 14 or over, you can enrol on the Duke of Edinburgh award, which is a voluntary programme of activities you can do in your spare time.
